Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017001742A1] The invention relates to a coupling device (2) comprising a carrier body (4), a first clamping jaw (9), a clamping element (10) comprising a second clamping jaw (11) and a connection portion (12), the clamping element (10) being mounted on the carrier body (4) so as to be hinged between a clamping position in which the first and second clamping jaws (9, 11) are designed to clamp around a tow cable and a release position of the tow cable, a bias device (25) designed to bias the clamping element (10) toward the clamping position, and an actuation element (15) designed to actuate a movement of the clamping element (10) between the clamping and release positions thereof, the actuation element (15) being mounted on the carrier body (4) so as to slide between a first stable position in which the clamping element (10) is in the clamping position, and a second stable position in which the clamping element (10) is in the release position.
