Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017007857A1] A system for detecting stock outs associated with a product at a store is provided. The system comprises a server configured to: detect when a customer is proximately close to the store; generate a special coupon for redemption when purchasing the product, said special coupon having coupon parameters calculated to entice the customer to redeem said special coupon at said store without delay; transmit said coupon to a coupon application provisioned in a mobile device of the customer; alert said customer of the availability of said special coupon; and monitor coupon redemption activity in relation to said special coupon, in order to determine a stock out condition in relation to said product at said store.
