Counter cutter equipment 11 for cutting the needle threads interacts with the cutter equipment 10. The cutter equipment 10 comprises two individual blades 12 and 13 for the respective needle threads. Cutter distance adjustment equipment 20 serves to predetermine a nominal distance A between the individual blades 12 and 13 in a transverse direction with respect to a sewing direction 19. The predetermined nominal distance A can be selected from at least two cutter distance values.
