[origin: WO2017009708A1] The problem addressed by the invention is that of producing even casting cores (G1 - G5) in a simple manner, which casting cores are complexly shaped or optimized with respect to the quality thereof, said casting cores being intended for the production of castings by casting and being composed of a molding material that is mixed from a binder and a molding sand and optionally added additives. This problem is solved, according to the invention, by the following work steps: a) molding the casting core (G1 - G5) by introducing the molding material in a casting-core mold; b) solidifying the molding material; c) removing the casting core (G1 - G5) from the casting-core mold; d) heating the casting core (G1- G5) to a shaping temperature; e) shaping the heated casting core (G1 - G5) by applying a shaping force (K, KA, KX, M) to the casting core (G1 - G5); f) cooling the casting core (G1 - G5).
