[origin: WO2017009041A1] The invention relates to a switching valve for a fuel injector, in particular a common-rail fuel injector, said valve comprising a reciprocating armature (1) which is penetrated by an axial bore (3) in order to accommodate and guide an armature pin (2) that can be moved relative to the armature (1). According to the invention, the armature (1) is manufactured completely or partially from a metal-ceramic composite material and/or has a sleeve (4) consisting of a ceramic material, said sleeve at least partially delimiting the axial bore (3). The invention further relates to a fuel injector comprising a switching valve of this type.
