[origin: CA2989908A1] The invention relates to a plug connector assembly (10) comprising at least one first and a second plug connector (22, 23) and a slot assembly (11) with at least one first and a second slot (12, 13) for inserting the plug connector (22, 23). Two or more conductors (32) which are stranded over a specified first lay length are connected to the first plug connector (22), and two or more conductors (33) which are stranded over a specified second lay length are connected to the second plug connector (23). The plug connector assembly comprises a coding mechanism which allows the first plug connector (22) to be plugged into the first slot but not into the second slot and which allows the second plug connector (23) to be plugged into the second slot but not into the first slot.
