[origin: WO2017013259A1] The invention relates to an abrasive wheel, with a supporting plate (2), which is produced from a nonwoven material bonded with a binder and has a fastening portion (3) with an annular clamping surface (4) for receiving a clamping nut (5) and has a supporting portion (6), lying further outwards radially from the fastening portion (3), wherein the supporting portion (6) is produced in the form of a single layer or multiple layers and in a self-supporting manner from bonded nonwoven material, and with an abrasive means (9), which is connected to the supporting portion (6) of the supporting plate (2), wherein a front face (12) of the abrasive means (9) defines a radial plane (E) at an axial distance from the clamping surface (4), wherein the abrasive means comprises an annular abrasive blank (9) with an abrasive means carrier and abrasive particles applied thereto, and wherein an axial distance (t) between the clamping surface (4) and the radial plane (E) is at least 6 mm.
