[origin: WO2017021597A1] A machine for producing bags comprises a station (4) for forming a tube (2a), which forms a band (2) of transversely perforated flexible material into a tube (2a), a holding station (6) for retaining the tube (2a), a folding station (7) for forming a bottom (20) at the end of the tube (2a), a folding roller (72) comprising a folding blade (720) for folding a flap (21) at the end of the tube (2a) and a tear-off bar (722) for pinching the tube (2a) against the drum (71), the folding station (7) and the holding station (6) being configured to jointly exert a traction on the tube (2a) and detach a portion of the tube (2a). The tear-off bar (722) is disposed behind the folding blade (720), the machine controlling the rotation of the folding station (7) in order to synchronise the drum (71) with the front of the tube (2a).
