[origin: WO2017021018A1] The invention relates to a traction battery (1) for a motor vehicle, comprising a cooling device (8) for controlling the temperature of battery cells, said cooling device (8) being provided with at least one cooling plate (9) which is made from an extruded profile and includes at least one cooling duct (20, 22). The extruded profiles advantageously allow uniform, reproducible cooling ducts to be formed which have a defined surface and have a significantly better cooling performance than cooling ducts conventionally made from sand castings using disposable sand cores.
