[origin: WO2017017377A1] The present invention relates to a helm device, in particular for a recreational catamaran propelled by at least one sail, the helmsman's compartment facing the direction of movement. Said helm device includes two floats (10B, 10T) having two rudders, namely a port rudder (18-1B) and a starboard rudder (18-1T), which are rotatably mounted about a substantially vertical axis. Said helm device is characterized in that it includes means (18) for directing a port jumper stay (18-2B) and a starboard jumper stay (18-2T) at the head of the rudder, cable-moving means with a foot-controlled pivotable lever (18-6), and an outer and inner closed-circuit control cable.
