Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017016570A1] A rotary heat exchanger through which a first fluid flow, for example an outside air or inlet air flow, and a second fluid flow, for example an exit air or outgoing air flow, can flow in a counterflow configuration has a rotatably mounted rotor (5) which has a first flow sector for the first fluid flow and a second flow sector for the second fluid flow, through which flow sectors said rotor passes during a rotation, a bracket in which the rotor (5) is rotatably mounted, and a seal device (9) by way of which the inflow side of the first fluid flow and the outflow side of the second fluid flow can be separated from the outflow side of the first fluid flow and from the inflow side of the second fluid flow respectively. To simplify the seal device, wherein it is sought to achieve that a reliable seal between the inflow and outflow sides of the two fluid flows is automatically ensured during operation of the rotary heat exchanger, it is proposed that the seal device (9) has a first seal (12), which seals against that side of a partition (10) which is arranged at the inflow side of the first fluid flow, and a second seal (13), which seals against that side of the same partition (10) which is arranged at the inflow side of the second fluid flow.
