[origin: EP2016840A2] The device has a storage container for storing a liquid flavoring material e.g. menthol, and a conduit connected to the container, a cigarette making machine, and/or loading equipment of a filter machine. The conduit has a spraying device and a pump for supplying the material from the container based on production speed of the machines. The container and the pump are accommodated in a device that is connected to the machines. A measurement-controlled dosing system supplies a tobacco strand from the machines with the material.

Eine Vorrichtung zum Aufbringen von flüssigen Aromastoffen auf einen Tabakstrang oder das Zigarettenpapier in einer Mehrstrangzigarettenmaschine oder auf den Filter in einer Filtermaschine besteht aus Geräteteilen 12, 13, die trennbar sind und wobei das eine Geräteteil 13 einen Puffertank 28, einen Reinigungsmitteltank 29 sowie Dosierpumpen, Messsensoren und Aktuatoren sowie die Verbindungskabel und Schalteinrichtungen inklusive eines Bedienpanels 23 aufweist, während das andere mobile Geräteteil 12 einen transportablen Tank 32 für den Aromastoff sowie eine Heizeinrichtung 33 aufweist.
