[origin: WO2017041882A1] A method for producing a three-dimensional object (2) by applying layers of a construction material (13) and selectively solidifying same contains the following steps: (a) applying a layer of the construction material (13) onto a construction field by means of a coating device (14); (b) selectively solidifying the applied layer on the cross-section of the object (2) at points corresponding to the respective layer and at points corresponding to the cross-section of a casing region (30); and (c) repeating the steps of applying and selectively solidifying until the object (2) and the casing region (30) are completed. The construction material (13) is solidified in such a way that the casing region (30) surrounds the object (2) at least in sections, wherein the points corresponding to the casing region (30) are less strongly solidified than the points corresponding to the three-dimensional object (2).
