[origin: WO2017021538A1] The invention relates to a method for reusing gravure printing cylinders, and a corresponding gravure cylinder suitable for this method. In order to optimise the production and storage of gravure printing cylinders in terms of cost, a method is proposed for reusing a gravure printing cylinder, in which the outer diameter of the gravure printing cylinder is reduced by machining from a first diameter to a smaller second diameter, the surface of the second diameter being coated ready for gravure printing.
