[origin: WO2017021043A1] The invention relates to a method for cleaning and/or disinfecting sealing elements (8) of a sealing machine or of a sealing assembly (6), wherein, during a cleaning mode, at least one cleaning and/or disinfecting medium, which is supplied to the sealing element (8) via at least one coupling piece (19), flows through and around the interior chamber of the respective sealing element (8) and the functional elements therein and the sealing tool serving to attach the respective closure (3) to a container (2). Handling of the sealing elements (8) occurs in chronological succession as a result of a successive forwarding movement of the rotor (7) on a docking or cleaning station (18).
