[origin: WO2017025375A1] The invention relates to a method for providing at least one tobacco roll of a tobacco blend and an apparatus in the tobacco-processing industry. First of all, small-particle tobacco, which comprises a first and a second weight fraction of punched-out first and second tobacco particles, is provided. The first tobacco particles consist predominantly of tobacco leaf lamina, whereas the second tobacco particles predominantly comprise tobacco leaf stems or constituent parts of tobacco leaf veins. The second tobacco particles are reconditioned to give flat tobacco material, and processed second tobacco particles are punched-out of the flat tobacco material in a punching process. As an alternative, an ESS or a CRS process is used on the second tobacco particles to produce processed second tobacco particles. Thereafter, the first tobacco particles and the processed second tobacco particles are mixed in a predetermined ratio to give a tobacco blend and are formed into at least one tobacco roll.
