[origin: WO2017029005A1] A system for warning of dangerous situations in road traffic comprises: at least one position sensor (14) that is designed to detect the current position of a vehicle (10) and to make vehicle position data available; at least one driving state sensor (16) that is designed to detect at least one driving state of the vehicle (10) and to make driving state data available; a transmission unit (12) that is designed to send the vehicle position data and/or the driving state data; an identification unit (46) that is designed to evaluate the vehicle position data and/or the driving state data in order to identify a potentially dangerous situation; a reception unit (30) that is designed to receive information about a potentially dangerous situation in the surroundings of the vehicle (20); and at least one display apparatus (24, 25, 26, 28, 29) that is designed to display a potentially dangerous situation. In this case, at least one display apparatus (24, 25, 26, 28, 29) is designed to warn the drivers of other vehicles of the potentially dangerous situation.
