[origin: WO2017032588A1] An apparatus for removing construction material has a removal unit (8) that is rotatable about a longitudinal centre axis and, in order to remove at least one brittle component of a construction material, has groups of beater discs (9). The beater discs (9) of each group are attached to a disc bearing spindle (15) with play in the radial direction, wherein the disc bearing spindles (15) are arranged at a radial spacing from a longitudinal centre axis of the removal unit (8). Arranged between circumferentially adjacent groups of beater discs (9) is at least one cutting base (10) that is set up to remove at least one ductile component of a construction material by cutting with at least one cutting plate (11). As a result, there is a respective removal tool for removing construction material with components having different mechanical properties , said removal tool being adapted to the different mechanical properties of the components and therefore creating efficient removal of the construction material.
