Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017037371A1] The invention relates to an electric household appliance including a hot plate (2) supplied electrically by a power supply circuit including a thermostat (3) fitted with a thermal cut-out, said thermal cut-out comprising a switch (7) held in the closed position by a transmission member (8) that is in contact with the switch (7) and has a meltable plug (22) contained in a cavity (21) in the hot plate (2), said transmission member (8) counteracting the opening of said switch (7) via return means (71). The invention is characterized in that said transmission member (8) comprises at least one meltable element (83), the melting of which causes the switch (7) to open via the return means (71).
