[origin: WO2017037174A1] The method for the vacuum distillation of a hydrocarbon feedstock (12) comprises the following steps: - heating the feedstock (12); - introducing the feedstock (12) into a flash zone (N1) of a vacuum distillation column (16); - removing at least one distillate stream (58, 64, 70) at an intermediate level (N3, N4, N5) of the vacuum distillation column (16); - drawing a column head stream (80) from the head of the vacuum distillation column (16); - partially condensing the column head stream (80) to recover a liquid flow (84) and a gaseous flow (82); - conveying the gaseous flow (82) into a vacuum generation unit (34) and recovering at least one condensate (86, 90, 96) and a non-condensable gas fraction (94). Characterised in that the method comprises introducing, into the vacuum distillation column (16), a flow (52) of a feedstock (12) stripping fluid, the stripping fluid consisting of a hydrocarbon mixture having a weighted average boiling point (Tmav) of between 150 °C and 250 °C and advantageously of between 190 °C and 210 °C.
