[origin: WO2017036548A1] The invention relates to a vacuum pump (10) for a motor vehicle, comprising a housing part (12) which partially encloses a pump chamber (14), wherein the housing part (12) has an inlet channel (20) that leads into a pump chamber inlet opening (22) and has a receptacle (24) upstream of the inlet opening (22) for a connection piece (30), wherein the connection piece (30) comprises a snap ring annular groove (26) on the outside, and the connection piece holder (24) comprises a corresponding snap ring annular groove (28) on the inside, a non-closed snap ring being seated in the annular grooves (26,28).
