[origin: WO2017036765A1] A disc brake (1), preferably actuated by compressed air, in particular for a motor vehicle, comprises a brake calliper (4) which has a brake application section (40) with a brake application device, preferably with a rotary brake lever, at least one wear adjusting device for adjusting wear of brake linings, and a brake disc with a synchronization unit (10) which comprises an adjusting device (11), a drive device (12) and a synchronizing means (13), wherein the adjusting device (11) and the drive unit (12) are preferably inserted in each case into a threaded plunger of a spindle unit and are attached by way of a mounting arrangement on a bearing wall (40a) of the brake application section (40) of the brake calliper (4). The synchronization unit (10) is installed with the adjusting device (11) and the drive device (12) as a preassembled group into the brake application section (40) of the brake calliper (4), wherein the synchronizing means (13) is arranged in the region of the mounting arrangements on the bearing wall (40a) within the brake application section (40) of the brake calliper (4). A method for installing a synchronization unit (10) is specified.
