[origin: WO2017041941A1] The invention relates to a method for operating a motor vehicle traveling driverlessly within a parking area, comprising the following steps: detecting an environment of the motor vehicle by means of environment sensors of the motor vehicle in order to determine the environmental data corresponding to the detected environment; motor vehicle-internal verifying on the basis of the determined environmental data whether the environment of the motor vehicle is free from an object which could collide with the motor vehicle with a predefined probability; and continuing the driverless drive only if the motor vehicle-internal verification has revealed that the environment of the motor vehicle is free of a corresponding object, so that the motor vehicle automatically stops when the motor vehicle-internal verification has revealed that there is a corresponding object in the environment. The invention also relates to a corresponding device for operating a motor vehicle, a method and a device for operating a parking area, as well as a motor vehicle, a parking area and a computer program.
