[origin: WO2017045837A1] The invention relates to a blank (5) for producing an intermediate ayer (10), in particular a multi-layer intermediate layer, comprising: a main surface (6) with multiple recesses (9a, 9b), and at least one additional surface (7a, 7b) with multiple recesses (9a, 9b), wherein the at least one additional surface (7a, 7b) is connected to the main surface (6) along a folding line (8a, 8b). According to the invention, in order that multiple layers of packaging (2) with said applications (3) can be securely stacked on top of one another in a cost-effective manner, at least some recesses (9a, 9b) of the additional surface (7a, 7b) are arranged axisymmetric to at least some recesses (9a, 9b) of the main surface (6) in relation to the folding line (8a, 8b) between said additional surface (7a, 7b) and the main surface (6). The invention also relates to a method for producing a multi-layer intermediate layer (10) from a blank (5) of this type, and to a packaging system (13).
