[origin: WO2017050981A1] The invention relates to a device for the comminution of materials preferably containing moisture, comprising a housing (1) for forming an impact chamber (11) having a rotating striking means (13) driven therein by means of a vertically oriented shaft (12), wherein a bottom plate (2), a cover (10), a wall (3) connecting the bottom plate and the cover, and an inlet and an outlet opening (15 and 16) are arranged as the housing (1) of the impact chamber (11). The aim of the invention is to increase the wear resistance of the device, to realize self-cleaning effects, and to enable simple and safe cleaning, in particular at a standstill. According to the invention, in the impact chamber (11) at least along the bottom plate (2), a tub (4) consisting of at least one layer of plastic is arranged and, on the other side of the layer of plastic, a wear plate (5) is arranged.
