In order to enhance the driving experience with a cable car of the above-mentioned type, the invention provides a cable car in which the viewing direction of the sitting passengers associated with the seats faces away at least partially from the imaginary vertical line, when viewed from the side, or the seats are arranged offset from one another along a line perpendicular to the notional vertical line and the plane of the side view, when viewed from above in a direction perpendicular to the side view, and the seats are each outer seats with respect to the notional vertical line, when viewed from the side, in order to thereby permit the passengers an unobstructed view through other passengers.
