[origin: WO2017050624A1] The invention relates to a plug connector (1) for plastic hollow profile ends (3, 4) of spacers of an insulating glazing unit and to a plug connection. The plug connector (1) has a bottom (16), with side walls (21) at the edges, and also a centre-locating means (25) and retaining elements (19, 24). On one or both longitudinal edges (17) of the bottom (16) there is arranged a retaining element (19) which is preferably designed as a spring tongue, projects outwardly from the bottom (16) and is interlocked, counter to the pull-out direction, with an axial, strip-like reinforcing element (9) arranged on the corresponding longitudinal edge (8) of a hollow profile bottom (7).
