[origin: WO2017051101A1] The invention relates to an engine system (100) comprising: an internal combustion engine (102), an intake system (104) that is intended to draw air into the engine (102) and comprises an electric compressor (110), a bypass (112) of the electric compressor (110) and a bypass valve (114) of the electric compressor (110) that is positioned on the bypass (112) of the electric compressor (110), and a control system (138) intended to obtain an engine (102) supercharging setpoint, and, in response to the engine (102) supercharging setpoint, to control the intake system (104) such that said intake system supplies the engine (102) with air at a pressure greater than atmospheric pressure. The control system (138) is further intended to close the bypass valve (114) of the electric compressor (110) in the absence of a supercharging setpoint.
