Abstract (en)
Provided are a coal briquette, a method of manufacturing coal briquettes, and a method of manufacturing molten iron. The coal briquette is inputted into and quickly heated in a dome portion of a melting and gasifying furnace in an apparatus for manufacturing molten iron that includes i) the melting and gasifying furnace into which reduced iron is inputted, and ii) a reducing furnace which is connected to the melting and gasifying furnace and provides the reduced iron. The method of manufacturing coal briquettes includes i) providing powdered coal, ii) mixing the powdered coal with a binder and providing a mixture, iii) providing coal briquettes by molding the mixture, and iv) performing a heat treatment of heating the coal briquettes to improve compressive strength of the coal briquettes.
