[origin: WO2017054999A2] Disclosed is a method for the treatment of the interiors of kegs, each of which is equipped with at least one keg fitting, using at least one treatment head which has a mating- and contact pressure element on a treatment head housing, for sealingly mating with the keg fitting during the treatment. The keg that is to be treated is pressed onto the housing, by a feed and mating stroke, with the keg fitting of said keg lying sealingly against the mating and contact pressure element, and then the keg fitting is opened by a relative movement between said fitting and a lifter of the treatment head, thereby connecting at least one flow path formed in the treatment head to the interior of the keg.
