[origin: WO2017054874A1] The invention relates to a safety cabinet, in particular a fire protection cabinet for accommodating hazardous substances, preferably a battery cabinet for accommodating and storing high-power batteries, such as lithium-ion batteries. The safety cabinet is equipped with a cabinet body (1) and at least a swing door (2) connected to the cabinet body (1). Also provided is at least one locking element (8) on the swing door (2), and finally at least one fuse, and in particular a safety fuse (3, 4). According to the invention, the fuse (3, 4) holds the locking element (8), which is configured as a clipping element, in the unlocked position and only releases said locking element (8) in the event of a fire to adopt the locked position thereof.
