[origin: WO2017063765A1] The invention relates to a device for labeling individual packages (1), comprising an advancing device (2) for transporting each package (1) in a transport direction (X), an application device (3) for applying a dispensed label (4) onto each package (1), said application device (3) having a pendulum stamp (7) that has a stamp shaft (5) and a stamp base (6) connected to the stamp shaft in order to move the dispensed label (4) from a receiving position, in which the label (4) is received by the stamp base (6), to a dispensing position, in which the label (4) can be applied onto the respective package by the stamp base (6). The application device (3) further has a guide element (8), on which the stamp shaft (5) is mounted in a movable manner, and a mounting (9), by means of which the stamp shaft (5) is held in the direction of gravity (Y). The stamp shaft (5) is mounted in a pivotal manner about a horizontal pivot axis (X1) which runs orthogonally to the direction of gravity (Y). In order to simplify the labeling of packages (1), the guide element (8) supports at least one of multiple components of the mounting (9) and can be pivoted about the pivot axis (X1). The invention further relates to a corresponding labeling method.
