[origin: WO2018149561A1] A container (2, 2'), in particular plastic container, has an in particular rectangular base (4) and side walls connected fixedly or hinged thereto, in particular two long side walls (6) and two short side walls (8). Stacking brackets (18) coupled movably to one of the side walls (6, 8) expose an opening cross-section when in a nesting position so that an identical or compatible container can be nested in the container. When in a stacking position, the stacking brackets project laterally into the opening cross-section to allow a compatible container to the stacked thereon. The stacking brackets are pre-tensioned into the stacking position by means of at least one pre-tensioning device. Furthermore, the container has actuating elements (38, 38') which are (force-)coupled to the stacking brackets and are configured to transfer the stacking brackets to the nesting position when the container is nested in a compatible second container.
