Abstract (en)
An axially split bearing housing is proposed for receiving the non-drive end of a shaft (110) of a rotary machine (100), the bearing housing extending in an axial direction (A) from an inboard end (41) to an outboard end (42), and comprising an upper housing part (2) and a lower housing part (3) designed for being fixedly connected to each other, and further comprising a disk-shaped end cover (6) for closing the bearing housing at the outboard end (42) in the axial direction (A), wherein the upper housing part (2), the lower housing part (3) and the end cover (6) are designed to engage with each other for fixedly connecting the end cover (6) to the upper and the lower housing part (2, 3) in a boltless manner. In addition, a rotary machine having such a bearing housing is proposed.
