[origin: EP2508835A1] The method involves determining elevation angle (5) between line of sight (4) to target (2) and horizontal plane (3) by shot angle gun (9) for firing of projectiles with an approximately straight trajectory. The replacement distance is determined by correction function such as non ballistic characteristics of target distance (6). The angular difference between elevation angle and shot angle dependent correction function of target distance is determined. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) apparatus for determining equalization distance between location and point of impact of projectile; and (2) target unit such as telescopic tube.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Ermittlung einer Ersatzdistanz beim Anvisieren eines Ziels (2) mit einer Zieldistanz D (6) und einem Höhenwinkel ± (5) zwischen einer Sichtlinie (4) zum Ziel (2) und einer Horizontalebene (3) mit einer Waffe (9) zum Abfeuern von Geschossen mit einer annähernd gestreckten Flugbahn. Die Ersatzdistanz wird mittels einer Korrekturfunktion aus der Zieldistanz D (6) bestimmt, wobei die Korrekturfunktion ausschließlich aus nicht ballistischen Kennwerten und zumindest abhängig von der Zieldistanz D (6) und der Winkeldifferenz zwischen dem Höhenwinkel ± (5) und dem Einschießwinkel ermittelt wird.
