[origin: WO2017072418A1] The present invention relates in particular to a fiber-application machine including a head (2) with a stationary portion (21) and a movable portion (22) facilitating maintenance operations. The movable portion includes at least one application roller (5, 5'), a guide system (4), and fiber-cutting means, the movable portion (22) being slidably mounted on the stationary portion (21) along a sliding plane (P1), the head being mounted via the stationary portion (21) thereof to a system of movement along an assembly axis (A7). The assembly axis (A7) and the sliding plane (P1) are parallel with one another, and the movable portion (22) is mounted on the stationary portion (21) such that the axis of rotation (A8, A'8) of the compaction roller (5, 5') is arranged perpendicular to the sliding plane and on the side of the sliding plane (P1) that is opposite the assembly axis (A7).
