Abstract (en)
[origin: WO2017076692A1] The invention relates to an overvoltage protection device for electrical terminal devices which, in addition to an at least single-phase low-voltage supply system connection, has at least one control signal connection, wherein a change in the operating state of the respective terminal device can be prespecified via the control signal connection. The overvoltage protection device comprises an arrangement of varistors which are each assigned a thermal disconnection apparatus and an optical function display, and also have at least one gas discharge tube which is connected between the supply system connection and a protective conductor. Furthermore, a first varistor is provided with a thermal disconnection apparatus between the supply system connection and a neutral conductor, and a second varistor is provided with a thermal disconnection apparatus between the control signal connection and the neutral conductor. Furthermore, the overvoltage protection device is arranged in the immediate vicinity of the electrical terminal device, in particular in a junction box.
