[origin: WO2018162106A1] The invention relates to a forming device and method, wherein at least one spindle is rotationally driven by a rotary drive, a workpiece is received on the spindle by means of a clamping device and clamped on the spindle, and at least one forming roller is applied axially and/or radially relative to the workpiece in order to carry out a compression rolling or metal spinning process. According to the invention, the spindle and the clamping device are combined to form an exchange unit, which can be moved transversely to the axis of rotation, wherein the exchange unit is moved between a forming position and a set-up position.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung und ein Verfahren zum Umformen, bei dem mindestens eine Spindel mittels eines Drehantriebes rotierend angetrieben wird, ein Werkstück mittels einer Spanneinrichtung an der Spindel aufgenommen und an der Spindel gespannt wird und mindestens eine Umformrolle axial und/oder radial relativ an das Werkstück zum Durchführen eines Drück- oder Drückwalzvorganges zugestellt wird. Gemäß der Erfindung ist vorgesehen, dass die Spindel und die Spanneinrichtung zu einer Wechseleinheit zusammengefasst sind, welche quer zur Rotationsachse verstellbar ist, wobei die Wechseleinheit zwischen einer Umformposition und einer Rüstposition verstellt wird.
