[origin: WO2017081015A1] Disclosed is a piezoelectric transformer (1) formed by a cylinder-shaped base body (2) with an input region (4) and an output region (5), wherein the cylinder axis extends in a longitudinal direction (L). The output region (5) comprises a single piezoelectric layer (12), which is polarised in the longitudinal direction (L). In the input region (4) a first piezoelectric layer (6), on which a first inner electrode (7) is arranged, and a second piezoelectric layer (8), on which a second inner electrode (9) is arranged, are wounded around each other, wherein the layers (6, 8) are each polarised in a radial direction (R).
