Abstract (en)

Methods and systems are provided for securing tissue to bone. A surgical system can include a driver having an opening extending through a side thereof, an elongate shaft, a suture anchor, and a dilator feature distal to the suture anchor. The elongate shaft extends through a lumen of the driver such that a distal portion of the elongate shaft extends distally from a distal driver feature of the driver, and a central shaft portion of the elongate shaft has a suture retaining feature extending therethrough that communicates with the opening of the driver. A suture can be passed through a lumen of the suture anchor such that suture's terminal end portions are passed along a suture retaining feature and extend through the opening. The driver is configured to drive the suture anchor distally towards the dilator feature and into bone and thereby secure the suture.
