[origin: WO2018166971A1] The invention relates to a pump assembly having at least one rotationally driven impeller (14) and at least one valve element (18), which is rotatable about an axis of rotation (X) between at least two switching positions, wherein the valve element (18) has a first end face (22) extending transversely with respect to its axis of rotation, said first front face having in the central region an intake opening (24) which engages with an intake nozzle (26) of the impeller (14), and the first end face (22) has a pressure surface which surrounds the intake opening (24) and borders on a pressure chamber (28) surrounding the impeller (14).
