[origin: US2018267474A1] Universal moon phase display device for a watch, comprising first means for calculating or receiving the date and second means for receiving a geolocation signal, and third means for calculating or receiving a lunar calendar with the correlation between the date of the moon phase, position calculating means arranged to convert the day's moon phase into a first angular position of a first display member comprised in this device and which comprises a representation of the normal moon, and further arranged to determine the northern or southern hemisphere in which this device is located, to control the direction of rotation of first drive means comprised in this device in order to drive the first display member in opposite directions in the northern hemisphere and in the southern hemisphere.
