[origin: WO2017088841A1] The invention describes a preparation method of apixaban in an amorphous form by means of the method of encapsulation in a porous carrier or of hot-melt extrusion. Apixaban prepared this way either has the form of an amorphous dispersion in a pharmaceutically acceptable polymer, or the form of a solid solution with a pharmaceutically acceptable polymer and can be used for the treatment or prevention of thromboembolic events. The invention also relates to a pharmaceutical composition containing amorphous apixaban prepared using the encapsulation in a porous carrier and the hot-melt extrusion methods.
