[origin: JP2017116650A] PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress an increase in torque at the start of driving of a fixing belt in a fixing device of a belt nip system.SOLUTION: A fixing device 50 applies heat and pressure to a medium P on which a toner image is formed with a pair of rotors to fix the toner image to the medium. The fixing device 50 comprises: a cylindrical fixing belt 51 that is one of the pair of rotors; a pressure roller 52 that is the other of the pair of rotors and presses the medium P against an outer peripheral surface of the fixing belt 51; and a contact member 54 that is fixed on the inside of the fixing belt 51, and includes a contact part 65b receiving a load from the pressure roller 52 and in contact with an inner peripheral surface 51b of the fixing belt 51. The contact part 65b includes a plurality of convex shapes projecting toward the pressure roller 52 side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
