[origin: WO2018046063A2] The invention relates to a housing (1) for a wet electrostatic precipitator (100), comprising an inlet (2) and an outlet (3) for an exhaust gas stream and a base body (4) which is designed as an elongated hollow body, said housing being made of plastic or a plastic-containing material, wherein the inlet (2) and the outlet (3) are spaced apart from one another in the direction of the longitudinal extension of the base body (4). According to the invention, the base body (4) has a plurality of connecting points (5) which are arranged in a distributed manner over the outer periphery of the base body (4) and are designed for securing tie-rod elements or other connecting elements transmitting tensile forces. The invention further relates to a wet electrostatic precipitator (100) having a housing (1) of said type.
