Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017097777A1] A fuel injector (10) comprises a solenoid (24) and a nozzle in the body (30) of which a movable member (32) is slidingly guided along a longitudinal axis (X), the movable member (32) extending between a bottom end and a top end provided with a magnetic core capable of cooperating with the solenoid (24). When the solenoid (24) is powered, the movable member (32) moves towards an open position and, when the solenoid (24) is not powered, the movable member (32) is pushed back towards a closed position. The injector (10) is moreover provided with a control chamber defining a damper capable of slowing, during use, the movement of the movable member (32) towards the open position.
