[origin: US2018289159A1] A mechanism is provided for an office chair. In order to accomplish an advantageous motion characteristic of the mechanism and thus of the office chair, a synchronized mechanism provides a correlated seat/backrest movement of an office chair. The backrest support is connected to the seat support not directly and immediately, but via a coupling element. The force applied to the seat support upon swiveling the backrest support is applied to the seat support solely via the coupling element. Two guide element pairs are provided to guide the seat support relative to the base support.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Mechanik für einen Bürostuhl. Um eine vorteilhafte Bewegungscharakteristik der Mechanik und damit des Bürostuhls zu erreichen, wird eine Synchronmechanik (1) für eine korrelierte Sitz-Rückenlehnen-Bewegung eines Bürostuhles vorgeschlagen, bei der der Sitzträger (4) mit dem Rückenlehnenträger (5) nicht direkt und unmittelbar, sondern über ein Koppelelement (36) verbunden ist, wobei die bei einem Verschwenken des Rückenlehnenträgers (5) in den Sitzträger (4) eingeleitete Kraft ausschließlich über das Koppelelement (36) in den Sitzträger (4) eingeleitet wird und wobei zwei in Stuhllängsrichtung (7) voneinander beabstandete Führungselementpaare (16, 17) zur Führung des Sitzträgers (4) relativ zu dem Basisträger (2) vorgesehen sind.
