Abstract (en)
A flat bed printing system comprising a support surface (16) for print substrates (20), a movable member (22) arranged for translational movement relative to the support surface (16) and carrying a print head assembly (24) for printing onto the print substrate on the print surface (16), and a control system (26) for controlling operations of the movable member (22) and of the print head assembly (24), characterized by a print substrate storage device (28) disposed in a working area of the movable member (22), and a substrate gripping system (32) arranged for joint movement with the movable member and capable of gripping and releasing the print substrates (20) under control of the control system (26).
