The scraping device co-operates with a ram (8) which is oriented with respect to the scraping device such that the positioning region (1) is arranged between the ram (8) and the scraping device and that the ram (8) can move in the direction of the scraping device. The ram (8) also has on the end facing the scraping device a head part (9) which is formed as holding means (4) for the piece of frozen food. At least the head part (9) of the ram (8) is then movable relative to the scraping device. On the face of the scraping device facing away from the positioning region (1) a collecting region (2) for frozen food scraped off from the piece of frozen food is formed. Said device is characterized in that the positioning region (1) is formed by a container (3) for receiving the piece of frozen food, in that the container (3) for receiving the piece of frozen food can be fastened removably to the rest of the device, and in that the container (3) comprises the scraping device.
