Abstract (en)

[origin: WO2017102363A1] A computer-implemented method for providing a generic diagnosis model (2) at a node (3) of an automation network (1), wherein the automation network (1) has multiple subordinate field bus segments (4a, 4b, 4c), each having multiple field bus subscribers (5), connected to the node (3) and the method comprises the following steps: provision of specific diagnosis information (A, B, C, D, E) by the field bus subscribers (5) of the respective field bus segment (4a, 4b, 4c); combination of the specific diagnosis information (A, B, C, D, E) provided by the field bus subscribers (5) at the node (3); transfer of all combined diagnosis information to the generic diagnosis model (2), wherein the specific diagnosis information (A, B, C, D, E) is additionally enriched with meta information, so that the generic diagnosis model (2) can be used to access specific diagnosis information (A, B, C, D, E) of the respective field bus subscriber (5).
